We're based in the Denver, Colorado area. We do travel for shoots — check out our Travel gallery to see some of our work from around the world. Contact us to discuss your location and any travel fees that may apply.

It depends on the type of shoot! A headshot session can be as short as 20 minutes, while a full event or branding session can take several hours. We'll give you a clear time estimate when we book.

With the exception of weddings, images are delivered within 2 weeks of your session via an online gallery. You'll be able to download, share, and order prints directly from there.

Generally, we recommend wearing colors and clothing that feel authentic to you — our goal is to capture you, not just your outfit. A few additional tips:

• Avoid: distracting patterns, solid white or cream, and baggy clothes.

• Glasses wearer? Anti-glare glasses photograph best! Avoid transitional lenses.

• If you choose to wear jewelry, err on the side of less so it doesn’t become distracting. You are the focus of the shot, not your bling!

Yes! Our founder, Susannah McLeod, as well as several members of our team have professional backgrounds in theatre, which shapes how we approach production photography. We understand the art form and know how to capture the energy of a live performance.

Definitely. We offer both individual and team headshots as well as branding and promo shoots for businesses of all sizes. Whether you need polished LinkedIn headshots or lifestyle content for your brand, we've got you covered.

For events, our cancellation policy is as follows:

• 30+ days – full refund

• 15–29 days – 50% refund

• 14 days or less – non-refundable.

For other session types, cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice are non-refundable. Please reach out if you have questions or special circumstances — we're always happy to chat.

In all cases, Susannah is your main point of contact and will be involved in the planning, quality control, and delivery of your photos.

Over the past 10 years and hundreds of sessions, we've had the privilege of working with a wonderfully diverse range of clients — actors and performers, small business owners, corporate teams, nonprofits, families, engaged couples, high school seniors, and theatre companies across the Denver area.

Photographer Susannah McLeod retains full copyright to all images. Clients receive a license to use their photos for personal use, social media, and professional/promotional purposes. We just ask that images aren't sold or licensed to third parties without express permission.

We take every precaution to ensure your session goes smoothly. In the rare event that Susannah is unable to fulfill a shoot due to illness, emergency, or equipment failure, every effort will be made to secure a qualified replacement photographer. McLeod9 is not responsible for lost or damaged files beyond our control, and liability is limited to the total payment received for your session. We've been doing this for 10 years and this situation has thankfully never happened (knock on wood) — but we believe in being transparent so you know exactly what to expect.

Life happens! If you're running late, just give us a heads up. We'll do our best to accommodate up to 10 minutes when our schedule allows. If we have another session booked immediately after yours, we may need to work with the remaining time rather than extend — so we always recommend arriving a few minutes early to settle in and get comfortable before we start shooting!

Yes — a retainer is required to secure your booking, and is applied toward the total cost of your session.

For headshot, senior, and portrait sessions, a non-refundable $100 retainer is due at booking. This holds your date and goes toward your session total — please note it is non-refundable regardless of cancellation timing.

For events and commercial/branding sessions, a 50% deposit is required at booking, with the remainder due prior to or on the day of the shoot. The event cancellation policy applies to deposits for these session types.
